As helpful as Brandon was for purchasing two sets of AG Millworks bi-fold doors, his recommendation of Mark Santillano for installation was stellar. Mark is an outstanding, experienced, highly professional carpenter, though “carpenter” does not do his considerable skills justice. I believe Mark is merely a “carpenter” in the way that Frank Sinatra was merely a “singer.” Mark removed two old sets of sliding patio doors and installed two new sets of bi-fold patio doors. In the course of measuring the door sizes during the purchase, and in performing the installation, Mark corrected a design flaw in the existing door cut-outs made by our original architect (the old door trims were a few inches below the adjacent window trims). At Mark’s suggestion, the new doors were installed at a height about 4-5” taller than before. This brought the door and window trims level and even, an improvement in the architectural look from before, not to mention the added beauty of the new doors. The installation process was efficient and almost 100% turn-key. At the end, it was as if Mark had never been there at all and fantastic new doors that more architecturally matched the space had magically appeared. The only step left was minor touch-up painting around the new doors & stucco patching outside and the staining of the wood on the new doors and door trim to match the existing interior woodwork. Mark even referred a first-class paint & stain professional to accomplish that task. I cannot more highly recommend Brandon’s purchase assistance and, especially, Mark Santillano’s highly skilled, expert installation!
